Is the Scorpions hard rock or heavy metal?

im sure they are hard rock! many people mistake the hard rock music might be hard. that is completely wrong! hard rock which mean the PURE ROCK! such like guns and roses.. def leopard..deep purple.. many rock groups out there with the hard drock music! they are not heavy metal like METALLICA, ******** like KORN, speed metal like SEPULTURA. black metal like SLAYERS or death metal like MEGADEATH!!
and you know what.. scorpion is the KING OF ROCK you know that!

I’d say hard rock, but it wouldn’t be completely wrong if you say heavy metal either – since they have that 80′s sound, which is a little on the mellow side.
@Jay Bee Man, get your genres straight… Look up those bands, since you offer them as an example.
