What are some good Irish Rock bands that are popular in Ireland now? Heavy rock or a little lighter than heavy?

MomNeedsPublisher asked:

I’ve been listening to The Pogues and so forth, but I’m wondering what is hot and good in Ireland nowadays? Hard rock or close to it is best, but if there is something else that is really worth a listen here in the states…let me know!

You want an Irish band? Honestly, we’re so inundated with music from outside of Ireland that the only one I can think of is Kila.

Listen to Thin Lizzy one of Ireland’s great bands, Phil Lynott was amazing frontman of the band… also Horslips were a great band.. The Cranberries were great but these are all older bands…. The one recent band that can think of that are good is The Script they are great…. hope this helps..
