what makes a band an indie rock band?

Indie rock is not smooth and must be sung in a craphole not a concert hall.

idk everyone has a different idea of what different genres are. personally i think indie rock is another word for alternative…

They can also be thought of as underground bands, but they’re usually labeled as such in their earlier years. Indie rock means the band is on an independent label, but other bands get that title because of their light, poppy sound in addition to their label status. The Kooks and The Arctic Monkeys are also British, I’m pretty sure. They’re probably much more popular in their native country.

and indie rock band is made up of skinny white boys with glasses that play terrible music because they think it’s an art form and all the pretentious myspace teenyboppers (who are also skinny, white, and wear glasses but they are girls) go absolutely f*cking nuts over it
