Would you let your son be into skateboarding and rock music knowing that it would ruin his future?
carlosc1dbz asked:
Everyone knows that if your into skateboarding and rock music, together, your chances of being academically successful go down significantly. Maybe around 80%? Right?
hum interesting, I have to do more research based on your answers.

Says who? As long as he continues to study and apply himself it shouldn’t really matter what he likes.

Well in my honest opinion, the skateboarding and rock music will not be why his future is ruined. Its more likely to be the fact that he’s going to have to look at that damn ugly face of yours. Tragic what children have to go through these days

Wrong, and I’m far from being a kid. At least skateboarding gives them something to do that’s not destructive. And people have been putting down rock music since it started in the 1950′s. Kids can ride a skateboard and listen to rock music still do well in school. It’s up to the individual. He can read the bible 7 days a week and go to church every Sunday, and still be a poor student.

Don’t think so. It did not ruin my son. He is in the army and has a great future. He has already been accepted to college when he gets back form Iraq. He has the G.I bill paying for it and is engaged to get married to a great girl. So I do not see where him being into skateboarding and rock music ruined his life. I don’t know where you got your stats from but they are wrong. It is all up to the parents how their kids turn out no matter what they are into as a teen. Unless they are into drugs then I would say you would have something to worry about.
